Background

An in-line pressure regulator is typically installed downstream of the backflow preventer and upstream of all zone valves. This type of device ensures that all zones operate at the same pressure, unless additional pressure-regulating valves or heads are installed.

Requirements and certification

A master in-line pressure regulator is installed at the water source, adjusted to maximize efficient irrigation equipment operation.

The Florida Water Star Inspector will confirm the presence of in-line pressure regulation during the inspection.
