- Toilet water supply
Background
Typically, potable or drinking water is used to flush toilets. However, rainwater or gray water can be used to flush toilets. Chapter 64E-6 of the Florida Administrative Code governs water quality for toilet flushing. Backflow prevention will be required, as may dye tablets or water treatment. It is recommended that the builder/homeowner contact their local building official to discuss local requirements prior to construction.
Requirements and certification
Rainwater or gray water is used to flush all toilets.
